Hot chili with chickpeas and sweet potatoes

It’s a hot friday in Brazil so soup might not be the best choice – but I just love this one. And there is white wine in it, so perfect for friyay. 🙂

It takes 5 minutes to prepare so you can relax and enjoy a glass of wine with your loved ones while this flavorful soup is boiling.



  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable broth base
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 can rinsed chickpeas
  • 1 big diced sweet potatoes
  • 2 small diced carrots
  • 3 diced celery
  • 2 tablespoon white wine
  • 2 teaspoon chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon pepper



  1. Just cover and cook all the ingredients together 45-50 minutes in a large pot.
  2. Serve with fresh celery and warm homemade bread and vegan butter.
